Block Architects Stitch Saigon Dream Home
Multi-level design doubles as fashion factory
We’re big fans of great design, and when it happens to be someone’s home, we’re happy to shout about it. Block Architects, led by Dang Duc Hoa, have recently created an ultra-modern living space that owners Tee & Lee are happy to call their dream home.
"This house means everything to us” the young couple said, “because it is the fruit of our constant efforts to pursue our dreams."
Talking about the renovation job, their aim was to create a living space and a home office-cum-factory, suitable for producing meticulously handcrafted leather - the business they are in. Producing the final product by carefully joining up every part of the house using wood, brick, concrete, metal and trees, the end result is an open plan, multi-level home that looks from the outside to be ‘sewn’ together. With extraneous walls and floors removed to create room for natural light, even the staircases appear to float. In short, we love it. Check out the pics below and let us know what you think. We think it’s great to see more of this happening in Saigon.
