Eminem Set To Release Two Projects
Rumors Of New Album Follow September Premier of Eminem Produced Film Bodied
Eminem came back from drug addiction and the accompanying major career stall to reclaim the rap world with 2009’s Relapse. Since then he’s hardly been out of the spotlight for a second.
The rapper bridged the racial rap divide with his intricate, irrepressible rap flow, a story told in the biopic about battle rapping, Eight Mile (in 2002). Now, there’s indications of two imminent projects. The first is the artist’s ninth solo album, expected sometime towards the end of the year. Long-time collaborator and confidante Dr Dre is on board, and 2Chainz appears to be too, after dropping some heavy hints in a recent interview.
The other project is Eminem’s return to film. This time, though, he’ll be producer of Bodied, which like Eight Mile digs into the tense world of battle rapping though the eyes of fictional artist, MC Goggles. Starring will be a host of big names from the rap world and beyond, like Charlemagne tha God, Anthony Michael Hall, Shoniqua Shandai and Alter Perez.
