INSTA ELITE @Tranquangdai
The Model, Entrepreneur And Thinker And Dreamer Talks Insta
Confession time. We’ve been sleeping with Tran Quang Dai. Not the model and entrepreneur, exactly, but the bedding from one of his budding small businesses, the homeware store Mơ. He also opened Nấp Saigon with friends Tim Pham and Thy Tran — a sleepy retro-60s-Saigon themed hostel and cafe in Da Kao. And he’s the thinker and dreamer behind the District 1 cafe of the same name.
His Instagram feed is as suave and sophisticated as we’d hoped. Lots of dandyish images of Dai in places we wish we were too. Also don’t forget, if you want to join Dai and the growing Insta Elite army, use the hashtag #aainstaelite on your Instagram posts and follow us @anyarenamagazine.
Describe your Instagram feed in 3 words?
Simple, neat, and poetic.
How did you start? What was your inspiration?
I began around 4 years ago when I wanted to share more about my life as a model.
And how has your style evolved?
It’s so different. Everything has become cleaner, more poetic, and filled with memories.
Has creating these images changed the way you see the world?
Yes, it makes life more beautiful.
Do you spend a lot of time curating your Instagram or are you more spontaneous?
I’m more spontaneous, depending on my inspiration. Usually I post when I’m travelling.
Who is your Instagram for?
It’s for anyone who is deep and who loves beauty.
What are your favorite elements to use in your images?
Light, and hands.
If your Instagram feed were an object, what would it be?
A fragrance — virtually invisible but existing ephemerally.
Do you have any tips for taking photos?
Just enjoy the moment.
What is your favorite image in your entire feed?
This photo I took in LA at the location where they shot ‘La La Land’. The stars of the city are below, a place where glittery dreams begin and end.
