Opening night at Dzung Yoko SOLO exhibition
The Creative Director of L’Officiel Vietnam & friends celebrate
Dzung Yoko is one of the biggest names in Vietnamese fashion. If you haven’t heard of him, you haven’t been paying attention. Last night marked something special and a little different for the HCMC based creative director. After years of working with internationally renowned publications, brands and models, Dzung Yoko has finally decided to go solo…well sort of. The new exhibition at DIA/Projects showcases 11 of Dzung Yoko’s best photoshoots and includes work from Elle Magazine, as well as a sneak peek at some of his newest creations for L’Officiel Vietnam, a new fashion publication launching this month.
Many of Dzung Yoko’s fashion colleagues, models and friends were on hand to celebrate. We lost count of the number of flower bouquets he was presented throughout the evening.
The works themselves showcase Dzung Yoko’s unique style and his signature practice of developing elaborate images from his simpler original sketches. It’s fascinating to see how it all develops.“The concept comes from different sources: from life, from other magazines, from movies or from my dreams,” he says. “From what I imagine.”
You can’t miss it.
