'Pavilion Of The Origins' Addresses Hanoi’s Bad Air Days
Hung Nguyen Architects designs ‘Green Lung’ Project in Dong Da
When the air up there is as bad as they say it is, it’s good to know someone is looking out for you. Located on the top floor of a three-storey building, ‘Pavilion of Origins’ is a canopy made up of boxes that act as tree’s to ‘clean’ the air. These are filled with air-purifying plants grown specifically to draw toxins away from human beings.
Using iron frames that are cleverly arranged at varying heights, an ideal space is created for greenery, sunshine and climate controlled relaxation. Residents can enjoy the hammocks that have been hung between the blocks and forget all about the fact that the World Health Organisation thinks the air ‘out there’ is bad for you.
