Woody Allen’s back, and trying to regain some respect after modern day disasters like 2005’s tennis tragedy ‘Match Point’. At best, the auteur’s output has been average, with ‘Blue Jasmine’, ‘Magic in the Moonlight’, and ‘Irrational Man’ all eliciting awkward smiles from the critics.
Refusing to bow to public clamour the reedy voiced recluse refuses to stick to the clarinet and has now directed ‘Wonder Wheel’ in which a ‘disastrous [we did warn you] love triangle unfolds on Coney Island in the 50s’.
Starring Jim Belushi, Justin Timberlake, Kate Winslet and others, ‘Wonder Wheel’ is expected to tank in theatres in the US on December 1st.
