What a weekend!
With the world economy crunch like these days what do you do on a Friday that has at least 4 big events/launches/exhibitions/parties…?
Well actually it’s not that bad but being a drama queen (not me, but my ever so pessimistic hag) like she is she dragged me out. And not only we did went out, we did have a fab Friday night, so fab that we have to stay home all weekend just to try to recover from all that fabulousness.
Oh, we did get to the Rex pool on Saturday morning if I am not mistaken. My little beautiful brain seems still so blurry even though it’s already Tuesday afternoon. Luckily we have pictures, if not I am certainly unsure of the places I have been (and ‘things’ I have done)
So back to the parties, we have Bebe and Dermalogica’s launch at Saigon Centre, Balenciaga Vintage Collection Exhibition at the Rex and Secret of the Night at White Palace all the way near the airport.
We dropped by Bebe’s launch at six, police were being an ass and stopping the party or something, I could go into the details but let’s not to. Dermalogica’s launch at six fifteen since they were right next to my store. Then we headed to Balenciaga vintage collection exhibition at seven with Eve and Truc. Truc, my tallest friend, an ex-super model, had on this beeeautiful dress that I love from another designer (even though she supposed to wear mine). I love it so much I had a (very dry) dream about it that night even. It’s like endless yards of beautiful chiffon. Only if I can get to wear it for Halloween this year.
Balenciaga collection was great. Designs from the 60s mostly but made you feel like it’s contemporary. Beautiful cut, luxurious material, and the best thing is you can order it too. They are re-making it with the new technology. But get your purses ready ladies, dresses are only start from 2990, and it’s in Euro.
Then Truc’s on and off and on and off and on and off and on again boyfriend gave us a ride to White Palace . It was almost forty minutes drive. Wasn’t really believed we had to sit in a car for so long, all dressed up on a Friday Night. Secret of the Night was kindda glamorous. Everyone was in gowns and tux, most of the celebrities and super models were there. The show was really big but we didn’t get to see the whole thing. My stomach was screaming for food so we left for Chinese noodle. All eyes were on us, especially Truc with her gorgeous gown in a ghetto Chinese restaurant.
Then we ended up at Lush where we spent most of the night, then Apocalypse and everyone headed back to my apartment. And don’t ask me the details after that because as I just told you, my blurry brain won’t be able to tell you the details…
So it was a great weekend, even thought I was having some guilt trip after all the fun. Didn’t get to go to work at all. Weekends should be work-free I know, but as an entrepreneur like myself weekends are all about making all the cash!
And it’s already Tuesday, cant wait till the fun this weekend, but with the world economy crunch like these days… well lets wait to Friday and see!
