It was fate to have met through a collaboration opportunity with the young Malaysian beatboxer Shawn Lee.
He's only 18 years old and is already the first Malaysian beatboxing champion and stands in 9th amongst world rankings. It was really great to have this chance to meet and exchange conversations with another young talent. I felt like I was able to take something from it. For example, the industry in Malaysia isn't as complicated, artists can manage themselves at ease, and this guy has been able to perform in different countries so he knows how to work professionally and adapt really easily.
I love being young and being able to meet other fellow youngins. With that said, I've come to realize that I still have a lot to learn, everyday, every hour, and every minute is a lesson, drawing from and retaining experiences.
