Talk: On the disappearance, degradation, and mutations of colonial heritage
@ Salon Saigon
A city’s heritage is its soul, its history, its identity.
In the early 1990, aware of the threat of disappearance of the heritage in historical center under the effects of the economic opening, local authorities started a study to inventory the historical and architectural heritage of Ho Chi Minh city with a view to its protection. 20 years later, what can peoples say about the state of our city’s heritage?
Salon Saigon is honored to invite you to a talk with Dr. Fanny Quertamp to hear about her work in this inventory, with focus on specific buildings in Ho Chi Minh City.
