APE @ HI-FI 8th of May
APE was conceived one year ago and has seen a series of successful events in and around Ho Chi Minh City. After the 1st anniversary Party at Dragons Nest and the APE 6 senses Party at Sankara Mui Ne, APE is back in town to bring the latest dance-floor killers to the HI-FI Club. The founders of APE-Mario and Nic will turn this night into a massive house music party.
Mario was born in Hamburg/Germany. In 1998 he started DJ-ing with Techno and House Music in Hamburg’s nightclubs scene. In the following years Mario performed in many clubs and Festivals around Germany and Europe. In 2005 Mario founded “PLUX”, a small, independent underground project in Hamburg. In the following five years, he and his crew established the Plux series in different clubs in Hamburg, Berlin, Bremen and the 'Fusion' festival. In 2008 he moved to HCMC / Vietnam and starts to play his music in Thailand and Vietnam. Continuously he goes back to Europe for guest performances.
Nic comes from Manchester a landmark city in the UK’s music scene and a place synonymous with New Wave Artists. His time in Vietnam has seen him play in some of the biggest Clubs and High End Bars in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. “My experience playing and clubbing in Asia has inspired a new sound that I continue to explore, ancestral and tribal rhythms that excite both Asian and western audiences”.
