Singing contest for enthusiasts of English music nationwide@ Apollo English
The contest is for all those aged between 13 and 25 and residing in Vietnam. This is the third consecutive year Apollo English has organized this competition to search for young singers of English songs.
AEI creates a field for young people to improve their English while showcasing their singing and performing talents, Khalid Muhmood, chairman of Apollo English, said in a statement.
It will also prepare contestants for entering into a professional singing career, and make them more confident in life, he added.
To participate in the competition, contestants will be required to record a video clip that lasts no more than five minutes. The deadline for submission is Feb 26.
Participating clips will be posted on the website of the competition for audience’s votes and judges’ comments. The competition includes two rounds. Ten candidates with the best video clips of the first round will compete in the final round.
Prizes for the finalists are ten pieces of Kindle fire, ten full scholarships at the Apollo English and free pronunciation course at the Apollo.
The AEI 2011 champion will be awarded a trip to Singapore, and a full scholarship to study English for one year at Apollo English.
