The Hanoi New Music Meeting is a pioneering event that brings together the best experimental contemporary composers in Vietnam and renowned international artists. This is the very first time that a professional, new music event will be held in Vietnam. The aim of the first meeting is to establish a suitable model and to develop an infrastructure so that an annual contemporary music festival can be established in Vietnam.

Program:

• I Am Me Concert
A concert of four new compositions by Vietnamese composers and the Vietnam premieres of four compositions by the invited international composers.

A concert of improvised works performed by all participants in different sized ensembles. The concert is the culmination of 10 days of workshops involving the Vietnamese and international artists.
