Vọng features Võ Xuân Huy’s unique lacquer artworks, which connect ancient symbols, patterns, guns, industrial waste, etc. to create a nostalgic look, a look that has strong links with cultural heritage, war, and the environment – things that surround us everyday. Vọng is Võ Xuân Huy’s representation of the million faces of contemporary life.

“Vọng ” is my attempt to refresh. Changing the concept of lacquer which is strong mark in mind of many people .Because new era requests in lacquer a new visual to response itself ”, he said.

Opening night: 6:30pm on 21st July
