Gucci Keep It Real With Cruise 2018
Italian Fashion House’s New Campaign Is A Tribute To Michele’s Rome
Gucci have taken ‘keeping it real’ to the next level with their Cruise 2018 Campaign, #RomanRhapsody. Instead of the usual line-up of models, Creative Director Alessandro Michele picked residents of his beloved home city, Rome, to star in the new shoot.
For confirmation of just how real this is, watch the video of #RomanRhapsody star and Chinese restaurant owner Sonia Hang struggling through Bob Marley’s ‘No Woman, No Cry’ in an Italian karaoke. Joining her in the shoot are local creatives like multimedia artist Sofia Mattioli, film director Matteo Zoppis, and musician Francesco Bianconi.
Also note that behind the camera was Mick Rock, the legendary British photographer who created the album covers for Lou Reed’s ‘Transformer’, Iggy and the Stooges’ ‘Raw Power’, and Queen’s ‘Queen II’ (that inspired the video for ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’).
