Môi Điên Studio’s New Lookbook ‘Drifting Away In Thoughts’
Latest Collection Adds Flashes Of Colour To Eastern Aesthetic
Tom Trandt’s Môi Điên Studio just launched their third lookbook ‘Drifting Away in Thoughts'. It continues the designer’s oversized aesthetic and adds flashes of colour amid sweeping layered linens.
It was only in October last year that we told you about the Parsons-schooled designer Trandt’s first lookbook for Môi Điên, or Mad Lips. His range of couture pieces really broke the mould while still being accessible and easy-to-wear. He told us that he wanted to “make streetwear that is artful and functional”. Then this spring he took his collection’s inspirations underwater with Japanese-inspired jellyfish motifs on extra-large jackets and pants.
This new collection continues with the Eastern inspiration. You can see kimono elements and models elevated by wearing Japanese geta.
