Runway: ‘Jardin de Roses’ by Rue Des Chats
Monet inspires a garden of roses at the French Embassy in Hanoi
Claude Monet himself would have been proud. Rue des Chats' ‘Jardin de Roses’ collection of lace, satin-silk and organza is imbued with every bit as much of the romance as his impressionist masterpieces ever were.
Showcasing designer Anhuong Tran’s most recent work, it was smiles all round at the French Embassy setting in Hanoi on Saturday, as she presented an ultra feminine collection adorned with a bouquet floral prints and a colour palette inspired by the roses of Monet’s idyllic estate in Giverny, France. Deliciously delicate in every detail, the phrase ‘poetry in motion’ springs to mind. On hand to witness were the likes of actress Chau Bui, “it girl” Ha Vi, Miss Vietnam Do My Linh and stylist Le Minh Ngoc.
