TheBlueTshirt’s 'Indoor-Outdoor' Collection Takes A Trip To Hockney’s LA
British Artist Inspires Local Label’s Fresh New Summer Looks
TheBlueTshirt have gone inside-out for August with a cool new collection inspired by one of our favorite artists — David Hockney.
We’ve been into the local fashion label’s modern minimal designs for some time. You might remember we were at the opening of their fourth store back in 2015. And the label continues to capture our attention, this time with their ‘Indoor-Outdoor’ collection. The concept was to create a line of unfussy feel-good clothes for summer. Naturally, back are the signature T-shirts, this time in red and white hoops, but there’s also flower-printed and breezily polka-dotted black summer dresses, and a more elegant blue-striped smock-dress.
David Hockney once said, “I prefer living in colour”, and as TheBlue’s model trips through the artist’s paintings of Los Angeles — all reflecting swimming pools and bold sun-kissed blocks of fauna — it seems TheBlueTshirt do too.
