It’s officially Snow Day in Northern Vietnam right now, with a massive cold blast hitting that part of the country and giving some regions their first ever taste of snow. Ever. Confused locals and tourists alike have been getting out into the winter wonderland and enjoying the cold, wet, white substance known as snow.
Temperatures have hit rock bottom, with the thermometer bottoming out at minus 2 recently. The cold weather is expected to stick around for a while, so if you want to head out and see the white stuff, here are the four top destinations in the country for ice viewing.
Sapa has had a bit of snow in the past, 15 to be precise, and sitting at 1600 meters above sea level it’s one of the best places in the country to go if you’re snow-inclined.
Mau Son is one of the coldest regions in the country and readily sees temperatures of below zero.
Meo Vac, Dong Van
Meo Vac and Dong Van are also great places to catch from frost.
This mountain range may not be known to all, but it is one of the most beautiful spots in the country to view snow from.
