Welcome to Vietnam Obama!
The World Leader’s Long-Anticipated Arrival Is Finally Here
The nation’s eyes are glued on the historic occasion of US President Obama inaugural visit to Vietnam. Barack Obama is only the third American president to have made the trip since the end of the American War. The President, accompanied by Secretary of State John Kerry, touched down in Hanoi last night to actual fanfare from an eager crowd of locals.
His tight schedule is centered around strengthening alliances and addressing human rights concerns. After three days in the capital city, the president will journey down to Ho Chi Minh City to conduct more bilateral talks. Let’s see if the Secret Service can take on the chaos of Saigonese streets. Better yet, will President Obama dare try out Vietnam’s transportation of choice, the ubiquitous motorbike? We’re anxious to find out.
