The final round of "Centaur Dance showdown" exploded onto Gossip club's  centre stage last Friday the 16th December. After 4 months of regional dance comps, the national winners, freestyle dance crew "Milky Way" were put to the ultimate test as they went head to head with 2 acclaimed international crews "Bad Trip" from France and world famous B-boy crew "Jinjo" from South Korea.

The fates of the 3 teams lay in the hands of a very capable team of judges, consisting of choreographers Viet Thanh, Ngoc Hien, Model Ha Anh Vu, DJ Justin Murta (US) and Breakdance artist Katsu (Japan).  The stakes were high with the 200 million vnd  up for grabs, and the 3 teams battled ferociously for the title and the considerable coin.

The world remknowned South Korean crew "Jinjo" were quite simply awesome and reined supreme throughout the dance battle rounds. Showcasing their insane raw talent and the creative choreography that has won them the Freestyle Session championships titles in 2010 and 2011. Their jawdropping - bodylocking performance saw them take home the title and of course the big prize, a cool 200 mill vnd.

The French crew "Bad Trip" founded in 2005 by Darwin and Almo got serious kudos for their ability to contrast high mix power moves with soft ballads creating a truely unique show. A sterling performance saw them walk away with the consolation prize of 15 million vend.

"Milky Way", the pride of vietnam hip hop, put up a valiant battle against the more seasoned crews. They won their way into the crowds hearts with their signature popping and locking moves, a mash up of music tempos and styles and their genuine passion for their art. I'm sure we'll be seeing much more of these boys and we're looking forward to it. Stay tuned for videos of the performances from the explosive final round.
