If you thought fashion's schoolyard crush on academia was losing steam, it isn't. Take, for example, the new collegiate-inspired Champion Ring collection from Comme des Garçons, reinterpreted by Rei Kawakubo. Available in three styles each for men and women, the bookish baubles made up of lustrium metal, black spinel and cubic zirconia are emblazoned with phrases and symbols such as My Energy Comes From Freedom, Live Free Strong Will and the number 1. They make for some serious jewels that are, in typical Comme fashion, top of the class.

 

While most of our proof-that-we-attended-college paraphernalia is either hidden in our parents' basement or altogether nonexistent, these are actually keepsakes we'd be psyched to sport.
