The launch was witnessed by members of the media along with luminaries from sponsor Remy Martin. Also getting their groove on were supermodel Ha Anh and choreographers Nguyen Viet Thanh and Ngon Hien. The three will act as judges in the competition, which will see an initial total of 40 crews whittled down to two lucky winners, one in the north of the country and one in the south.

 

Guests were given the red carpet treatment while glamorous cocktail girls dished out delicious cognac-based concoctions. The afternoon’s proceedings began with a sizzling dance performance by a local crew that ended with members using their skills to portray a Centaur – the half-man-half-horse character from Greek mythology, that is the symbol of the competition. Xavier Desaulles, managing director of Remy Martin in South East Asia, explained the ethos of the competition. He said: “This is a wonderful opportunity for competitors to unlock their potential, accept any challenge and prove that they are better than the rest.”
