District Eight is one of the first design firms in Việt Nam to merge design and building. Their self titled exhibition opened last Thursday the 16th Sept at the lovely L'usine. Its an inspirational exhibition displaying an eclectic range of re-invented vintage-esque furniture. The pieces are a fusion of salvaged or vintage materials with handmade custom wood features. Each piece has a distinct character and stunning intrinsic details, making it crystal clear that the  creators Darren and Andrew have put their heart and soul into each product.

“We spend hours sourcing vintage wood slabs, original machinery parts, and metal hardware and fittings for our collection. Each salvaged piece has making, paint schemes, hole patterns, or chips and dents from its former use. We preserve these characteristics as much as possible so that each piece retains its own unique story and origin”
