Acclaimed jazz pianist performs in Vietnam.jpg)
Vietnam's merits are many and varied but it’s fair to say that genuinely world-class music events are relatively thin on the ground. All the more reason to make sure you go to the performance of globally renowned Danish jazz pianist Niels Lan Doky on Wed Nov 30th at the HCMC Opera House.
Doky will be in the country for a two special shows, entitled ‘Wishing upon the Moon’, being staged to celebrate the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Denmark and Vietnam.
The concerts, which take place at the Opera House in Hanoi on November 28th and in Ho Chi Minh City on November 30th, will feature not just Doky but local heroes, diva Thanh Lam and musician Quoc Trung. During the shows, Doky will play solo and also in collaboration with Trung and Lam.
A limited number of free tickets can be picked up from November 21 at the Danish Economic and Commercial Office, 505 Centec Tower, 5th floor, 72-74 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, District 3.
We have just been informed that this event is now fully booked so sorry if you missed out.
