Hermès has announced their collaboration with Japanese photographer Hiroshi Sugimoto for a limited collection of Polaroid inspired scarves. The partnership marks the third edition of the Hermès Editeur project, which combines fine arts with the realm of textiles.

Inspired by Sugimotos’ “Colors of Shadow,” the artist and Hermes chose 20 Polaroids that depict color gradations, and printed them by ink-jet on silk. Only seven of each design will be produced.

Each scarf measures 56″ x 56″, is numbered by hand from 1 to 7 and comes in a cylindrical case with a certificate of authenticity and a book. Now available online at Hermes.
