Iconic Music Channel hits Vietnam
 
For three strong decades MTV has been worlds most popular music channel, influencing the music industry at large and transforming the way we view pop culture today. 
 
The mega music channel has now reached our shores and will be broadcasting a smorgasbord of music vids and their signature shows 24 hours a day. In addition to the channels renowned international content, they will also be airing locally produced shows and Vietnams top chart hits - all presented by VN hipster VJ's

MTV Vietnam will air their trademark shows such as My Super Sweet 16, Punk'd, MTV Cribs, and MTV World Stage. Localised programming will debut with  MTV Thích Mê, a local music request show that airs weekdays during the channel’s primetime Vietnamese-produced 2-hour programming block between 8pm and 10pm daily. Weekends will deliver  MTV K-Pop Top 50 and MTV Chart Attack Top 20 that will be hosted by MTV Vietnam’s fresh faced VJs – VJ Vu, VJ Khoa and VJ Chi. 
 
MTV’s famous Show “My Super Sweet 16” where spoilt brats compete for the most decadent birthday party on the planet.

The channel also announced the launch of MTV Vietnam’s Music Video Competition, a reality-based challenge for the local music and production community that begins in August. The competition will bring together thirty-two of the hottest Vietnamese acts with the top music industry talent (composers, directors, producers and more) to create and compete for the best local video. We'll keep you posted on this competition.
