It’s always fascinating to see the results when creative minds turn their energy to other artistic fields. Case in point? On June 29, Heartbeat Vietnam and Vietnam Artist Agency held an exhibition of gorgeous photographs created by several of Vietnam’s most famous artists and business people. 

 

The images were created for a book called “Scar of Life,” which features the works of 13 celebrities, including popstar Dam Vinh Hung, Miss Vietnam Nguyen Thi Huyen, actress Mai Thu Huyen, singer Ngo Thanh Van an Mr. Hoang Khai, president of Khai Silk Corp. All the shots are rather beautifully produced, but some standouts include singer Hoang Thuy Linh’s dramatic use of perspective, and actress Tang Thanh Ha’s quiet lighting and pose. 

 

The event, held at White Palace Convention Hall, raised money for children with congenital heart conditions, which affect one out of every 100 babies born in Vietnam. The night was peppered with star-studded performances, including songs by  Quang Dung, Vietnam's Idol Van Mai Huong, Dam Vinh Hung, 365 band, and up-and-coming singer Thai Trinh.
