Subway Opens
US Sandwich Chain DebutsThe battle of the Sub sandwich and the Bánh mì begins, as US sandwich giant Subway opened last Wedensday 16th Feb at 171 Pham Ngo Lao Rd. The US franchise primarily sells submarine sandwiches (subs), salads, and personal pizzas. Subway is currently is one of the fastest growing franchises in the world with approximately 34,003 restaurants in 95 countries/territories as of February, 2011.
This subway will be the first of many popping up around town, with their goal open 25 shops throughout the country by 2015. Sources tell us the next venue will opening on the corner of Thai Van Lung and Le Thanh Ton, the launch date is still to be confirmed, will keep you posted.
