Vietnamese artists to Exhibit in Singapore
Local Female artists showcase their work at group exhibition in Singapore.jpg)
It hasn't always been easy for Vietnamese artists, especially female ones, to make an impact on the global stage. Therefore news that four of the country’s best-established female artists are to exhibit in Singapore comes as a welcome boost for the local scene.
Entitled ‘Touch of Vietnam 4’ the exhibition, which features the work of Nguyen Thi Tam, Dang Thi Duong, Tran Thuy Linh and Cao Thi Duoc, opens in the Lion City at Galerie K Moeller on December 1st. It will be the first Vietnamese painting exhibition ever held in Singapore by the gallery, which aims to promote Vietnamese modern and contemporary arts outside of Vietnam.
The four artists are not strangers to international exposure of course. Nguyen Thi Tam has her paintings collected by the Musuem of the Vatican while the others have participated in local and international exhibitions.
Meanwhile the four artists will be extending their own brand of Vietnamese hospitality when they welcome over 200 international female artists to the country for a biennial travelling art event entitled ‘Her Presence in Colours'.
