Ultra To Take Over Asia In September
Party Planners Breaking Records And Not Taking Breaks
To say Ultra are everywhere is an understatement. The peerless party planners had their most successful weekend ever in Asia back in June packing a record-breaking 170,000 people into their two-city events over the same weekend. To break that down, Ultra Korea welcomed 120,000 between June 10-11th, while Ultra Singapore added another 50,000.
Now we know the organisers really don’t sleep, not because they’re staying up all night in raves, but because they’re planning what’s next.
That’s right, rather than take time off to celebrate, Ultra, an event that started off in Miami and was named after a Depeche Mode album of the same name, have made more major announcements – a massive ‘Road to Ultra’ tour for the autumn. There’ll be two events in India – in Mumbai and New Delhi on the 7th and 8th Sept - one in Taiwan on 10th September, and ones in Philippines on the 15th and Hong Kong on September 16th.
And Ultra are clearly believers in going Hardwell or going home, as the Dutch big room DJ heads the bill. In their next breath they also added The Chainsmokers, Kygo, Martin Garrix and Zedd (who we welcomed to Saigon last year) to the tour line up, in a month that will also include parties in Bali and Japan, and, after much speculation, China.
